Celebrity Corner Entertainment Roundup

Until I get my hands/eyes/ears on that Who special on VH-1, here’s some other entertainment tidbits to amuse and rock you, hopefully, courtesy of Stereogum:

Rush on The Colbert Report. No, not the right-wing drug addict, the band Rush! Key question to the band: “Have you ever written a song so epic that by the end of it you had influenced yourselves?”

The Hold Steady do Letterman. I don’t have the new album yet. Will I see them this weekend at Pitchfork? I don’t know yet. Also, there’s this goofy skit with Craig from HS.

Radiohead’s new video for “House of Cards.” Strange. Verrrry strange.

A couple of other entertainment notes: there’s a Batman movie out this weekend, have you heard? Much like those people who line up to buy iPhones or video games the second they come out, I don’t understand the rush. It’s not going away; camping out and waiting in line are things you do for concert tickets, not recurring events!

Something else: I’m glad that I don’t hear about Britney Spears so much anymore. It seemed like for a time she was being watched every day as she drove to Starbucks, and the fact that I knew about it really bothered me. I don’t want to know this. Why did I know this? Also, it seems that Lindsay Lohan is dating a girl, and it’s not a big deal. I like that. That’s progress, people. Progress that I can get behind, 100 percent. You go, girls. That’s all for now.
