Are You Experienced?

Last week it was duly noted when Mr. Bush tried to lie about Barack Obama’s foreign policy ideas, and even ridicule them. He was referring to this:

In August, Sen. Barack Obama had made the argument that, as president, he would target Al Qaeda officials in Pakistan even without the country’s acquiescence…At the time, Obama was roundly criticized for his remarks, both by his Democratic competitors for the White House and by the Bush administration.

This week, it appears that Mr. Bush has adopted those very ideas. Or, more realistically, someone went over his head. This article tells the whole story of what happened:

Having requested the Pakistani government’s official permission for such strikes on previous occasions, only to be put off or turned down, this time the U.S. spy agency did not seek approval.

Worked out pretty well. Turns out that maybe everyone can learn something from an “inexperienced” Senator. I’d take that over Bush’s seven years in the White House any day.

P.S. – Ha ha! John McCain, in his speech last night, prefers to stick to the old script:

Will the next President have the experience, the judgment experience informs, and the strength of purpose to respond to each of these developments in ways that strengthen our security and advance the global progress of our ideals? Or will we risk the confused leadership of an inexperienced candidate who once suggested invading our ally, Pakistan, and sitting down without pre-conditions or clear purpose with enemies who support terrorists and are intent on destabilizing the world by acquiring nuclear weapons?

Have you ever been experienced? Not necessarily stoned, but…beautiful!
